Scissor Clip

What are the benefits and disadvantages of this style clip?

The Scissor Clip is not easy to put on, as you must spread the jaws of the clip fully. However, it can be easily released even under pressure. It is a secure clip. Scissor Clips are not available in small sizes, and is a fairy heavy clip.

Boat Clip

What are the benefits and disadvantages of this style clip?

Boat clips are meant for use on boats! and are quickly attached by applying pressure to the hinged shaft. However, boat clips are not easy to remove, particularly on a dancing dog. Boats clips are heavy, and not available on certain smaller size leads. .

STANDARD CLIP (on right)

What are the benefits and disadvantages of this style clip?

The Standard clip is the classic spring clip found on many leashes. These are sized according to the width of the leash.

PUPPY CLIP (on left)

What are the benefits and disadvantages of this style clip?

The Puppy clip is a very lightweight clip meant for 1/4" leashes. It is not terribly strong, of course, but ideal for young pups or toy dogs. We also use a Puppy clip on our Double leads, which are meant for use with any head halter.
